Plymouth Tube Company is seeking a skilled Industrial Controls Specialist to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems to ensure efficient and safe operation of machinery, equipment, and processes.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of control system theory, industrial automation, and instrumentation. Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, function block diagrams, and structured text is also required.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize control systems and improve operational performance. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and designing control systems for industrial processes
- Implementing Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs to control and monitor industrial processes
- Designing and developing Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for real-time monitoring, control, and visualization of industrial processes
- Identifying and resolving issues related to control systems, including hardware failures, software bugs, and communication problems
Additionally, the Industrial Controls Specialist will provide training to operators and maintenance personnel on the operation and maintenance of control systems. A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a related field is required.
