We’re looking for a bright and motivated Project Technician to join our Industrial Hygiene team in Berkley, Michigan.
As the ideal candidate, you are excited to join our project team to help our clients make informed decisions regarding industrial hygiene, property acquisitions, re-development, and contaminated sites management. In this role you will learn about the business, build your own professional network and work closely with senior professionals in the industry. The Project Technician position is ideal for someone looking to build their skills for career advancement and professional growth. The ideal candidate will be familiar with relevant Michigan regulations and have at least 1-3 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry.
A Day in the life of Project Technician
- Conduct various field tasks including soil, water, asbestos-containing material (ACM) inspections and sampling, lead and hazardous materials inspections, and indoor air quality and fungal assessments.
- Building inspections and material sampling, data collection and evaluation.
- Abatement oversight and air monitoring.
- Coordinate and complete site inspections.
- Produce organized and detailed site visit notes that will be incorporated into high-quality technical reports.
- Task management and coordination, client interaction, and data management.
- Maintain a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the Pinchin team
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental field.
- 1-3 years of experience with Industrial Hygiene.
- Must be a Michigan Accredited Asbestos Inspector and Certified Lead Inspector.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Ability to work in various settings and climates.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Must have keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours and be available for travel.
- Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, and the ability to pass a company physical.
