We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Sales & Experiences to lead revenue-generating initiatives and curate unique guest experiences at our hotel in Joshua Tree, CA. This role will focus on driving group sales, private events, and corporate retreats while also developing immersive on-property experiences that capture the spirit of Joshua Tree’s natural beauty and artistic community.
This individual will be located in the Twentynine Palms, CA area. This is a full-time, onsite, exempt position that reports to the General Manager. The salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000.

At Reset, the desert takes center stage. Nestled just outside Joshua Tree National Park, in the city of Twentynine Palms, Reset Hotel provides unique access to some of the most iconic views in the United States. Each of Reset Hotel Twentynine Palms’ 65 rooms offer guests a private patio, uninterrupted mountain views, and the comforts of a boutique hotel.

What You’ll Do

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue from group bookings, private events, and retreats.

Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, travel advisors, and key industry partners.

Develops and manages relationships with community partners that align with the hotel brand to enhance customer experience, collaborate with to promote hotel.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including destination wedding partnerships and wellness retreats.

Create targeted marketing and sales campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team to position the hotel as a top choice for events and experiences in Joshua Tree.

Manage the sales pipeline, track performance metrics, and report on key revenue-driving initiatives.

Design and oversee curated guest experiences that align with the destination, such as guided hikes, artist workshops, stargazing events, and wellness retreats.

Assists with on-property activations which include hotel programming, photo shoots, and guest engagement events, such as pop-up shops, workshops, live entertainment, and themed gatherings that enhance the guest experience and promote the hotel brand.

Support and inform the operations team in the execution of group related events, playing a strategic role with executing programming as the liaison between Marketing team & operations team on property.

Partner with local artisans, wellness practitioners, and outdoor guides to enhance the hotel’s offerings.

Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of guest experiences.

Gather guest feedback and continuously refine offerings to maximize satisfaction and engagement.

Work closely with hotel leadership to align sales and experience strategies with overall business goals.

Train and support front-line teams on selling experiences and enhancing guest interactions.

Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
What You Bring to the Table

5 years of experience in sales, business development, or event management within the hospitality industry.

Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals.

Strong knowledge of experiential travel, hotel markets, and the Joshua Tree region (or similar destination).

Exceptional relationship-building skills with clients, vendors, and local partners.

Creative thinker with the ability to design and implement unique guest experiences.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in CRM systems, sales platforms, and event management tools.
