What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dual Hotel Chief Engineer - Fairfield Inn & SpringHill Suites West Des Moines, IA position at PM New Logo?
- Flexible to work variable hours to ensure the smooth operation of the engineering department.
- Manage and oversee the department in accordance with standards and guidelines established by the hotel.
- Ability to communicate and make sound judgment calls when evaluating problems and situations in order to expedite the resolution.
- Educate staff on health and safety procedures and policies
- Ensure all required repairs and maintenance performed on all hotel and waterpark equipment and assets as scheduled or requested by guests, housekeeping, and /or management. Such duties could consist of HVAC, plumbing, electrical repairs, and furniture replacement and/or repair etc.
Job Requirements:
High School Graduate or equivalent
HVAC Certification
Thorough knowledge and understanding of general repairs and maintenance
Working knowledge of:
- Air Conditioning and Heating
- Plumbing codes
- Electrical codes
- National/Local fire codes
- Mechanical codes
- Swimming Pool Maintenance / CPO Certification
- Blue Prints and Plumbing Schematics
