What are the responsibilities and job description for the Energy Storage Systems (UPS) Technician position at PM Technologies?
We are looking for an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) Field Technician to undertake a variety of tasks including but not limited to: preventive UPS and battery system maintenance, UPS start-up, work associated with installation of new UPS systems and battery replacements and reconfigurations, and other work relating to setting up and maintaining electrical UPS infrastructure. Your job will involve emergency call-out to troubleshooting malfunctions and outages and determine solution to bring system(s) back online.
UPS Requirements
- Strong working knowledge in UPS brands, for example, Toshiba, Liebert, GE, Powerware, Mitsubishi, MGE, APC and Powervar.
- Must have 5-7 years of UPS field experience
- Manufacturers certification on one or more UPS systems
- Proficient in advanced troubleshooting for diagnosing faults on the UPS system
- Ability to sustain a significant travel commitment and willingness to work various shifts and respond to emergency calls, as necessary
- Capability to perform repetitive bending and lifting, up to 100 pounds during certain services.
UPS Responsibilities
- Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose UPS system problems
- Install and maintain stationary battery systems
- Diligently record service actions and accurately complete company required documents using the company’s computer system in timely manner
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, presenting as a consummate professional to all.
