The Senior Accountant will oversee the daily accounting of the European accounting and support month-end close for all locations. Direct responsibilities are to guide and support accounting staff to ensure workflow deadlines are met while adhering to company financial controls. Reviews all accounting and financial reports, ledgers and statements; interpret such financial/accounting data to ensure accuracy. Responsible for Master Data, which includes item set-up, costing & standards.

The Senior Accountant will oversee the daily accounting of the European accounting and support month-end close for all locations. Direct responsibilities are to guide and support accounting staff to ensure workflow deadlines are met while adhering to company financial controls. Reviews all accounting and financial reports, ledgers and statements; interpret such financial/accounting data to ensure accuracy. Responsible for Master Data, which includes item set-up, costing & standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversees daily accounting for R&R European location: A/R, A/P, VAT Returns & G/L.
- Oversees and performs the month-end closing process and reporting for all activities (Domestic & EU). Prepares and reviews Journal entries and financial statements.
- Maintaining an accurate standard cost system, which includes the annual standard cost update for products and updates as necessary throughout the year.
- Provide accurate costing data for product and indirect costs for new and existing products to assist the sales department with development of customer and product pricing
- Assisting in the development of regular management reporting, including accurate and thorough bridges that explain key drivers of cost variance between periods and/or forecasts
- Regular analysis and reporting of profit margins by market, customer, and product class.
- Preparing supporting documentation as needed for annual audits and tax preparation. Ensures deadlines are met.
- Assist with development of the annual budget, including the accumulation and analysis of historical production data and costs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
- Proficiency testing required for applicants.
- Proven relevant experience of four or more years in manufacturing accounting.
- Experience with international business including VAT is required.
- Must have strong leadership skills and maintain a respectful attitude at work.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Has the ability to give attention to detail and to manage multiple deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
- Positive attitude with a high level of accountability, personal drive, ambition, integrity.

- Individual must possess the ability to perform light physical activity, which includes occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs, standing, walking, sitting, manual dexterity, repetitive hand, and finger motion.
