Brief Job Description:
The primary responsibility for this role will be to provide specialized analytical results in the analysis of all intermediates and finished products at the Carrollton Plant in accordance with Company and customer specifications. Provides support to the Production departments, QC Chemists, Production Engineers and Shift Forepersons. Assists Production Engineers in problem solving and/or process improvement by running directed projects.
Perform reviews of work areas for potential losses and loss control opportunities. All activities of this position will be consistent with the Plant’s loss control objectives.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
This role is responsible for:
· Prioritization and scheduling of analyses comprising the daily workload.
· Controlled use/disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.
· Mental and physical concentration is required to prepare and analyze samples safely and correctly.
· Practice good housekeeping and always following proper safety procedures.
· Perform required support duties such as equipment Quality Assurance Calibrations and Standard preparations in a highly competent and professional manner. Review lab test methods and recommend improvements (at least one per month).
· Analyze finished goods and intermediates (including TRS samples) produced using established lab methods to verify that they meet all specifications and requirements. Use proper analytical tools and equipment safely. Keep accurate and complete records. Review analytical data and enter in the Oracle system. Review raw material COA and accept.
· Assist other lab technicians in the performance of their duties.
· Ensure that necessary laboratory supplies, standards and reagents are available for product testing. Ensure proper labeling and storage of chemicals and products and arrange for disposal of same when complete.
· Perform other duties and special projects as required.

· Computer literacy is desired.
· Needs to be able to multi-task and manage time well.
· Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
Working Conditions
This position is in an office and laboratory environment.
Sitting, standing, bending and light lifting are required.
Education, Training, and Experience Required
· AS Chemistry or high school graduate with a minimum of two years’ lab experience.
· Completion of training defined in the Carrollton Performance Review Plan for New Technicians.
