Job Description
The Senior VoIP Engineer is the lead technical resource for all 911 and dispatch systems and subsystems deployed and supported by PMC Wireless. These systems comprise SIP Servers, Mobile Broadband PTT, 911 and ESINet Call Taking Solutions, PSAP Contact Centers, and IP Radio Dispatch Systems, along with associated voice recording and networking infrastructure.
- Work with sales and project management teams to gather system information and understand overall system requirements.
- Lead and define technical designs and detailed configurations for land mobile radio and backhaul networks.
- Review and finalize bill of materials for ordering.
- Provide technical expertise during staging, installation, implementation, and maintenance of systems.
- Develop test plans based on functional requirements and technical specifications.
- Lead deployment effort to install equipment at customer sites and perform site and system acceptance tests.
- Work with third-party vendors/contractors to ensure delivery of requirements set forth by design.
- Compile close-out documentation and update all repositories with system information as required.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and support for systems under maintenance.
