Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
- Oversee recruitment, training, performance reviews, and career development.
- Ensure team members have the necessary resources to succeed.
- Direct the creation of BOMs, electrical schematics, ladder logic, and PLC programming for aqueous parts washers.
- Develop and implement product designs, specifications, and launch processes.
- Organize, document, and enforce engineering changes to maintain quality and safety.
- Work closely with Production and Quality teams to establish effective launch procedures.
- Serve as a technical support resource for internal and external customers, troubleshooting and resolving product issues.
- Participate in cross-departmental problem-solving initiatives.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process.
- Help develop and enforce quality and safety policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related Controls discipline.
- At least 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering within industrial automation; prior management experience is preferred.
- Proficient in designing electrical schematics and ladder logic, and in selecting, programming, and troubleshooting PLCs.
- Familiarity with CNCs, HMIs, power distribution, and motion controls.
- Experience with Allen Bradley, Rockwell, and Siemens PLCs is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD Electrical and Inventor is preferred.
- Six Sigma certification and/or working knowledge of MRP systems are preferred
- Experience with quality assurance systems is advantageous.
