Position Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance and Engineering Manager to lead equipment reliability, facility improvement projects, and team performance in a highly automated manufacturing setting. This individual will be responsible for driving maintenance strategy, leading engineering initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage engineering initiatives, equipment installations, process enhancements, and facility improvements from planning through execution.
- Design and implement an effective maintenance program aimed at reducing downtime, improving reliability, and extending asset life.
- Lead and support a multidisciplinary maintenance and engineering team, fostering development and high performance.
- Oversee departmental budgets, track spending, and identify cost-saving strategies without compromising safety or quality.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, industry codes, and company policies related to engineering and maintenance functions.
- Maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance and asset management system, including inspections and inventory oversight.
- Use metrics and performance data to identify areas for improvement and lead continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with outside contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to manage vendor relationships and procurement.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
- Master’s degree preferred
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership capabilities in a maintenance or engineering management role
- Strong background in reliability engineering, asset care, and preventive maintenance systems
- Skilled in leading capital projects and facility upgrades
- Proficient in CMMS systems and using data for operational decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally
- Experience managing departmental budgets and cost control
