PMCO is hiring a Maintenance Manager for its food and nutrition manufacturing facility in Chippewa County, MN!
Location: Chippewa County, MN (approximately 100 miles west of Minneapolis) Salary: $90,000–$120,000/year 10% bonus
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the facility’s full maintenance team to support efficient plant operations
- Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance and equipment repairs
- Manage building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural elements
- Monitor spare parts inventory and handle procurement of supplies and replacement components
- Develop and implement a proactive Preventive Maintenance Program to reduce downtime
- Report weekly to the Plant Manager on project milestones and budget performance
- Ensure staffing coverage across all shifts, including during team absences or PTO
- Collaborate with other departments to support productivity, safety, and compliance initiatives
- Recruit, train, and coach maintenance personnel while promoting a positive team culture
- Ensure compliance with GMP, OSHA, and food safety regulations
- Serve as a backup for other facility operations as needed, addressing any process issues or variances
Education Requirement:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- 5–10 years of maintenance leadership in an industrial or food-grade environment
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within maintenance or facilities operations
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, project coordination, and preventive maintenance planning
- Experience with CMMS and maintenance software systems
- Ability to respond to on-call support needs during off-hours
