PMCO is hiring a Maintenance Technician from the Industrial Services industry in Portsmouth, VA!
Salary: $28-$40 per hour
Shift: 2nd
Location: Portsmouth, VA
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with repairing, maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting industrial equipment including washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems, and boilers.
- Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on all industrial equipment.
- Resolve safety concerns promptly to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform indoor and outdoor housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Monitor inventory supplies and maintain detailed maintenance records.
- Read and interpret maintenance literature and blueprints to ensure proper repairs.
- Work as part of a team to ensure seamless operation of the facility.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment or military.
- Ability to read maintenance literature and blueprints.
- Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.
- Ability to stand for up to 7 hours in an 8-hour shift.
- Preferred: Knowledge of boilers, HVAC experience, and welding skills (MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing).
