Schedule: 2-2-3 Day Shift (6 AM – 6 PM rotating schedule)
Pay: $30–$40 per hour Overtime Annual Bonus Eligibility
About the Role:
We are looking for a hands-on Process Automation Technician to support our automated manufacturing systems. You’ll play a key role in maintaining process control, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing equipment performance.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform daily audits of equipment settings and process control parameters.
- Support production to ensure machines are running within set specifications.
- Collaborate with the Quality team to adjust processes based on data trends.
- Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) and OCAP methods to detect and respond to process deviations.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain automated equipment per work instructions.
- Create and update Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) for production tasks.
- Work with teams to identify and implement improvements using tools like Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
- Lead root cause analysis efforts (PK, A3, Apollo) to reduce downtime and quality issues.
- Suggest and implement machine improvements or material changes to enhance reliability.
- Conduct tests and analyze data using Design of Experiments (DOE) to refine process performance.
- Troubleshoot abnormal events and implement preventive solutions.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or skilled trades.
- At least 2 years of experience in a semi- or fully-automated manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, pneumatics, hydraulics, VFDs, vision systems, wiring, and chemical processes.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work a rotating shift and manage small improvement projects independently.
