Overview:
We are currently looking for a Programmer with experience in IBM i / iSeries / AS400 environments to join our development team. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining both new and existing applications to support critical business operations. Ideal candidates will bring a strong foundation in RPG-based programming languages, a willingness to grow, and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain business applications on IBM i (AS400/iSeries) systems.
- Troubleshoot and modify existing code to meet evolving business needs.
- Participate in the development of new applications and system integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members to ensure clarity and alignment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience or recent formal training in a high-level programming language.
- Proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, and CL programming.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work well in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with IBM iSeries system administration and backup procedures.
- Experience developing or integrating with APIs and RESTful web services.
