Position Summary:
Assists in verifying and ensuring review of service documentation to guard against fraud and abuse. Performs necessary tasks to maintain computerized records, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Ensures that agency service documentation is verified and forwarded to billing and claims department for processing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify and process fee-for-service documentation, including review of service documentation to guard against fraud and abuse
- Manage and organize the storage and filing of active and discharged client files, service referrals and PMHCC CM service requests
- Assist PMHCC CM Director/QA Officer and Auditing Staff with chart reviews or audits when necessary
- Coordinate and assist in the completion of special projects as directed by supervisor
- Attend departmental meetings as required
- Operate agency equipment including copier, fax machine, scanner
- Participate in in-service or other training as deemed appropriate by supervisor
- Assist in conducting satisfaction surveys that promotes valuable customer service
Skills Required:
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills, be computer literate, including a working knowledge of word processing and spread sheets, must be able to work in a team environment and independently and be flexible and adaptive in handling changing priorities in the work environment; must be highly organized. Pay attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy; and excellent time management skills.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit for at least one (1) hour at a time. Able to lift /carry up to 2Olbs in handling office supplies. etc.
Education and Experience:
Preferred Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, with three (3) years of clerical/data entry experience, including typing and word processing.
