Job Duties

- Promotes and maintains positive customer relations.
- Promotes and maintains positive staff relations.
- Responsible for the general appearance of the box office, lobby, and other related areas.
- Handles complaints involving tickets, seating, and event issues.
- Assists promoters with any informational requests in a timely manner.
- Responsible for maintaining event information including, but not limited to, event files, seats on hold and special ticket requests.
- Assists with overseeing staff I the absence of the Box Office Manager and Supervisor.
- Coordinates necessary training for employees to ensure that the team members are informed and properly trained regarding policies and procedures with continued emphasis on professionalism.
- Handles daily closeout procedures.
- Follows all Company directed guidelines on energy conservation and practices.
- Maintains knowledge of current trends and development in the field.
- Performs additional tasks as requested by Supervisory Personnel.
- Responsible for following, observing, and participating in all Company related safety programs, procedures, and training as well as reporting potentially unsafe conditions.
- Knowledge of sales, marketing and communications at a level normally acquired through completion of high school. A combination of education and experience will be considered and evaluated.
- Previous box office experience preferred. A minimum of three years responsible experience in a supervisory capacity necessary to prioritize projects and understand customer service skills.
- Must be capable of handling large sums of money using prescribed cash management controls.
- Capable of working with promoters, staff, and the public in projecting a positive image of the box office.
- Analytical skills necessary to resolve computerized ticket system problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills needed to train new employees, lead, and direct and interact with all PMI staff, as well as to resolve customer concerns.
- Must have strong organization skills to deal with daily job demands and multiple tasks. Must have ability to work under pressure, recognize problems and determine solutions.
- Ability to work with a flexible schedule which will include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by event schedule. Must be available to work a minimum of 6 to 8 times per month during peak event season.
- Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer and current technology.
- Frequent mobility and/or prolonged standing required. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer and standard office equipment. Normal range of hearing required plus vision correctable to 20/20 to read communications, reports, and computer terminals. Must be able to drive a vehicle to work occasional events outside of the Resch Complex, which may include outdoor locations. Required to work in a fast-paced environment. Work hours will include nights, weekends and possibly holidays.
- Must be able to accurately interpret data, be knowledgeable of box office procedures and be able to respond to questions in a professional and friendly manner. Must be able to balance accounts and compile computer reports. Requires public contact on a daily and excellent interpersonal skill. Occasional high stress work may be required in the normal performance of this job.
- Normal office environment with some exposure to excessive noise, dust, and temperature fluctuation.
- Subject to attending meetings out of the office and so is exposed on an occasional basis to temperature extremes.
- Required to attend monthly lead meetings as scheduled.
