Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our residential property management team. In this hands-on role, you will perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and upkeep tasks to ensure our properties are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic, excellent handyman skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to residents and property owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC system troubleshooting.
  • Conduct routine inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and property managers.
  • Assist with unit turnovers, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
  • Maintain common areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and in good condition.
  • Perform seasonal maintenance tasks, such as gutter cleaning, snow removal, and landscaping support.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing their concerns professionally and courteously.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, handyman, or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC, appliance repair, and painting techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
