The Volunteer Cross-Functional Project Manager is essential in facilitating seamless communication and project alignment among various PMI San Francisco departments. This role ensures that the objectives of sponsors and partners are integrated and supported across organizational functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communication Facilitator:
o Serve as the primary liaison between the sponsorship and partnership teams and departments such as Marketing, Professional Development, Mentorship, and Next-Generation Leadership (NGL).
o Ensure clear and consistent communication of partners’ and sponsors' needs and objectives to relevant internal teams.
- Integration and Collaboration:
o Work closely with different departments to understand how they can both contribute to and benefit from established partnerships and sponsorships.
o Regularly organize and facilitate meetings to discuss ongoing partnership projects, encouraging the brainstorming of new collaborative opportunities.
- Strategic Alignment:
o Ensure that all departmental activities are aligned with the broader partnership goals of PMI San Francisco.
o Facilitate cross-departmental brainstorming sessions to discover innovative ways in which partners can support departmental goals and how these departments can reciprocate value to the partners.
- Conflict Resolution and Optimization:
o Proactively identify and address any issues that impact the effectiveness of partnerships.
o Develop and implement strategies to resolve conflicts between departments and ensure optimal collaboration and resource allocation.
