Purpose & Scope: This crucial role will be responsible for planning and optimizing a detailed production schedule which ensures alignment of customer demands, inventory levels, and production capacity.
Essential Duties May Include:
- Schedule 30 plastic injection molding machines while minimizing downtime and maximizing machine utilization
- Coordinating with other departments to allocate the resources, materials, equipment, and personnel needed to effectively run production
- Anticipate and mitigate potential issues or shortages that may interrupt production
- Oversee the inventory of raw materials and finished goods to ensure supply levels are adequate and available for upcoming scheduled runs
- Identify opportunities for improvement regarding efficiency, cost reduction, and downtime
- Ensure timely delivery of all customer goods and proactively communicate any potential delays that may occur
- Previous experience planning and scheduling plastic injection molding machines and labor
- Professional written and verbal communication
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of IQMS
- Meticulous attention to detail
