Current Opening: Full-time Maintenance Laborer – Contract site at Fort Ward (Formerly AP Hill), Bowling Green, VA
Scope: The Maintenance Laborer will, in a professional workmanlike manner will assist in the daily operations and maintenance of barracks.
Duties:
· Military guest unit check in/check out
· Facility Inspections
· Custodial Services including but not limited to:
- Hard Surface Floor Care
- Trash and Refuse Removal
- Glass Cleaning
- Vacuuming
- Restroom Cleaning
- Dusting
· Maintain inventory necessary maintenance supplies
· Ensure compliance with Fort Ward policies, procedures, codes, regulations, government agency directives as well as Contractor’s best practices/policies and procedures.
· Foster positive relationships with Fort Ward employees, visitors and guests
· General Support Services
· Be available to respond to emergency calls.
Job Requirements:
· High school diploma
· Communicate effectively in English in speaking and writing
· Able to work at least one weekend day per week
· Possess current, valid driver’s license (not under suspension or limitation)
· Good physical condition with ability to lift 75 lbs. and possessing good fine motor coordination and ability to withstand exposure to dust, fumes, heights, and confined spaces
· U.S. Citizen or approved registered alien
· Ability to pass drug screening and federal government criminal background check with no felony records.
