PMR Healthcare is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide Primary Care and Occupational Healthcare to our clients, their employees, and families in a multi-specialty clinic Located in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Job Responsibilities:
- Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history and confirming purpose of visit.
- Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, temperature and reporting patient history summary.
- Assist provider with a variety of in-office procedures.
- Secure patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records, completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding while keeping patient information confidential.
- Counsel patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions about surgery.
- Assist in scheduling patient referrals by making the arrangements with the referral service provider.
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures complying with legal regulations.
- Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
- Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Serve and protect the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Enhance practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Position Requirements:
- Certified Licensed Practical Nurse
- 3 years’ experience in Occupational Health/ Primary Care.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Current BLS and licensure in area of expertise.
- Electronic Medical Record Experience.
- Front office skills and/or willingness to learn.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform duties with little supervision.
- Desire to continue training and professional development.
