Your New Role :
PMR Healthcare is seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at our clinic in Mount Vernon, Indiana. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a supportive work environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.
What Youll Do :
- Patient Interaction : Warmly greet patients, manage check-ins and check-outs, and handle inquiries both in person and over the phone.
- Preparation : Get patients ready for their visits by escorting them to labs or examination rooms, and setting up necessary equipment.
- Venipuncture & Capillary Draws : Perform venipuncture and capillary draws for lab tests, ensuring the highest standard of technique and patient care. These procedures are a critical part of accurate diagnostic testing and require precision and attention to detail.
- Verification & Support : Confirm patient information, take vital signs, and assist healthcare providers during exams.
- Hands-On Care : Administer medications, take blood samples, perform basic lab tests, and moreensuring a smooth, safe, and comfortable experience for patients.
- Specimen Handling : Accurately label and prepare specimens for transport or processing, ensuring that all samples are properly prepared for analysis.
- Collaboration : Work with medical staff to ensure accurate and timely lab results, contributing to seamless patient care and diagnosis.
- Documentation & Compliance : Maintain accurate records, follow safety procedures, and stay updated with your certifications and professional knowledge.
