Area Logistics / Transportation Operations Manager
Job Summary:
Oversee multiple yard management and transportation locations, ensuring efficient operations, exceptional customer service, and alignment with business goals. Manage and support Location Managers to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations to meet KPIs and improve processes.
- Develop teams through coaching and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with safety and legal standards.
- Collaborate with Location Managers on workflows and resource planning.
- Oversee logistics, track key metrics, and resolve performance issues.
- Act as Location Manager backup and support VP-assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (college degree preferred).
- CDL-A or recent tractor-trailer driving experience (preferred).
- 10 years in logistics, with 5 in leadership roles.
- Skilled in operations, budgeting, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Work Environment:
- Mix of remote work and field visits.
- Travel: 70-90%.
