As an IT Incident Management Specialist within PNC's Tempus Technologies organization, you may be based in a remote location. This is a remote position. Work may be performed from a quiet, confidential space in a home location, approved by PNC. This position may not be available in all geographic locations.

The Incident Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient handling of incidents to minimize disruption and ensure timely resolution. This role involves monitoring, managing, and coordinating incident response efforts across teams, as well as maintaining effective communication with stakeholders to keep them informed of incident progress and resolution. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to managing incidents, a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, and excellent organizational and communication skills. Job responsibilities may include the following:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for managing and coordinating all incidents.
  • Monitor incident queues and ensure incidents are logged, categorized, and prioritized accurately.
  • Facilitate incident resolution by engaging and coordinating with relevant technical teams.
  • Develop and distribute incident status updates to stakeholders, including management and end-users.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews (PIRs) to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
  • Document incident details and resolution steps accurately in the incident management system.
  • Work with problem management to identify recurring incidents and contribute to root cause analysis.
  • Support the development and refinement of incident management processes and tools.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on incident management best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of ITIL framework and incident management processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stressful situations.
  • Proficiency in incident management tools and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ITIL certification

Job Description
Develops, implements and manages the incident and problem management program, staff and operations.
Reviews and oversees incident requests, priorities, escalation and resolution activities. Leads complex problem identification, evaluation, analysis and resolution producing.
Coordinates with others on strategies to improve change management, process effectiveness, and build action plans for incident recovery.
Develops and implements incident action plans; ensures the delivery of solutions in a timely manner. Ensures that root cause and trend analysis is determined; provides reports on root cause and trend analysis in a timely manner.
Monitors and improves documentation and reporting processes for incident status and results.

Pay Transparency
Base Salary: $55,000.00 – $142,350.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education.
