The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. seeks a Software Architect Senior in Farmers Branch, TX with the ability to telecommute with appropriate telecommuting systems for up to three days per week, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. Participate in all aspects of PNC's ACFR Technology MIS Delivery organization activities. Specific duties include: (i) lead the design and architecture of complex Pega solutions to meet business requirements; (ii) architect solutions that leverage Pega's advanced features such as decisioning, case management, and predictive analytics; (iii) lead efforts to integrate Pega applications with other systems and technologies; (iv) work with business stakeholders to elicit business goals and quality requirements that act as design drivers; (v) review and evaluate designs to determine satisfaction of requirements and design drivers and for compliance to standards; (vi) work alongside a strong design thinking team and be an expert in using technology to advocate for the customer; (vii) design a system using Design patterns with Secure, Scalable, Reusable, Maintainable and Quality aspects; (viii) lead development teams through software development life cycle; (ix) maintain and evolve the architectures of existing systems; (x) establish design and coding standards and best practices; (xi) perform code reviews for adherence to standards and best practices; (xii) perform Application Programming Interface (API) development, Application Security, and Performance Analysis and Tuning; and (xiii) perform governance of development teams to insure implementations are in accordance with high level design and established PNC enterprise standards and best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Management Information Systems, or CIS plus 8 years of experience in or for the financial services industry with software architecture design, implementing solutions that leverage Pega's advanced features (including decisioning and case management), and overall software delivery is required. Must have experience with: (i) proposing viable technical solution designs based on specific technology stacks that support user and functional requirements, use cases and business objectives including Data Model, Business Modules, Integration and Reports; (ii) designing applications using Design patterns and developing reusable components; (iii) application development methodologies including waterfall, agile development including SCRUM and Test Driven Development (TDD); (iv) mentoring and leading technical teams, performing design and code reviews; (v) service oriented architecture and design, application integration including security based implementations; (vi) designing and implementing scalable distributed applications and building high availability systems; (vii) implementing and supporting Data Virtualization and Scalable Analytical algorithms for analytical modelers using Python, Pega and CDH; (viii) designing Micro Services, Rest APIs, and relational databases including Oracle; (ix) designing Data flows, Score Cards, Strategies and Case Life Cycles using Pega CDH and Pega Case Management; and (x) Continuous Integration (CI) tools including Jenkins, Bitbucket/Git, Jfrog, and Pega Deployment Manager. Must have Pega Lead System Architect certification.
