Position Summary:
PNK Group is rapidly expanding and we’re currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Manager to join our team. The Heavy Equipment Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and overall management of heavy machinery used in construction, manufacturing, and other industries.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the fleet of heavy equipment, ensuring proper maintenance, repairs, and functionality.
2. Coordinate scheduling for the use of equipment on job sites, ensuring machinery availability and operational efficiency.
3. Supervise a team of mechanics, operators, and other personnel involved in equipment maintenance and operations.
4. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, conducting routine inspections to identify and address any mechanical or safety issues.
5. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, repairs, and service history.
6. Work with vendors and suppliers to source parts, equipment, and services as needed for repairs and upgrades.
7. Develop and implement maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce downtime.
8. Oversee the budget for equipment operations, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource use.
9. Conduct training sessions for operators and mechanics on proper use, safety protocols, and maintenance practices.
10. Analyze equipment performance, suggesting improvements or replacements based on wear, usage patterns, and technological advancements.
Qualifications:
1. Extensive experience (5 years) in heavy equipment management, maintenance, or operations.
2. Strong knowledge of heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and other construction or industrial equipment.
3. Excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage a team and coordinate operations across multiple job sites.
4. Familiarity with safety regulations (OSHA) and industry best practices for equipment maintenance and operation.
5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle equipment breakdowns, repairs, and scheduling conflicts.
6. Proficiency in maintenance management software and fleet management systems.
7. Strong communication skills for coordinating with teams, suppliers, and management.
8. Valid driver’s license and relevant certifications (e.g., CDL, ASE, or other industry-specific credentials).
Working Conditions:
- Primarily based in a workshop or office setting, with regular visits to construction or industrial job sites.
- May require working outdoors in various weather conditions and dealing with noisy or hazardous environments.
- Must be able to handle physically demanding tasks, such as lifting parts and equipment.
Compensation:
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $90,000-$120,000 annually
Benefits:
Medical insurance 80% paid by the company, dental and eye insurance 80% paid by the company in 60 days after the start of work, 401K pension plan after 1 year of service with the company, 10 days of paid holiday per year, 10 federal holidays per year 40 hours of paid sick leave.
