What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dock Laborer position at PNW VEG CO LLC dba Norpac?
Role Summary:
The Dock laborer’s primary responsibilities are to ensure the warehouse areas floors, walls, and ceilings in the freezer rooms, dry warehouse, dock areas, outside warehouse building are clean and free of debris and clutter and ice buildup, help others when needed, work in the freezer as well as outside the freezer. Temperature ranges from -10 degrees F to Ambient temperature. Employees in this position also need to demonstrate an understanding of plant wide culture towards Safety, Food Safety, Communication, Quality and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Remove all dirt, ice, debris and maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse facility including all dock areas and adjacent property.
· Observe warehouse areas for damage to products or facility that need fixed or repaired and report to the appropriate person.
· General housekeeping
· Maintain accurate records as required
· Assist other drivers and general plant employees as needed. This can include placing stacking aids on pallets and removing stacking aids.
· Empty trash receptacles and recycle bins throughout the facility.
· Maintain safe and sanitary work area.
· Use forklift to move materials needed for cleaning the facility and maintain cleanliness.
· Other duties as requested.
Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 56 per week
