Director, Demand and Supply Planning

Main Function

The Director of Supply/Demand Planning will be responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end supply and demand planning processes to ensure the organization meets customer demand while maximizing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and inventory management. This role involves specific strategic oversight and tactical execution in aligning supply chain operations, forecasting, and inventory management with business goals for the consumer graphics (GeForce) and flash memory product categories. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, procurement, and finance, to drive improvements in planning processes, demand accuracy, and supply chain performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or business-related field. Master’s degree a plus
• 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, with progressively increasing responsibility
• 5 years of supervisory experience
• Proven track record of managing end-to-end supply and demand planning processes in a complex supply chain environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, procurement, production scheduling, and logistics.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, ERP systems, and Power BI
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in English
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Detail orientated

Duties And Responsibilities

• Material Planning
• Lead the development and implementation of robust forecasting models to predict customer demand and align with production and inventory requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels, supply and customer demand and collaborate with procurement teams to adjust procurement plans as necessary to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
• Coordinate with various departments including planning, procurement and logistics to align schedules of required supply to meet demand.
• Order Management
• Review and prioritize customer orders based on delivery requirements, supply and inventory. Communicate with sales teams and customer service regarding order status, lead times, and potential delays to manage expectations effectively.
• Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, inventory management, and overall supply chain efficiency.
• Lead initiatives for process standardization and continuous improvement to enhance supply/demand planning performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain best practices, streamline workflows, and reduce waste.
• Leverage advanced analytics, data visualization, and ERP tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track progress, and drive data-driven decision-making.
• Performance Monitoring
• Leverage advanced analytics, data visualization, and ERP tools such as production output, cycle times, cost impacts and schedule adherence to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track progress, and drive data-driven decision-making.
• Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of production schedules, material requirements, and production performance data. Generate reports and analytics to track performance metrics, identify trends, and support decision-making processes.
• Develop and report weekly department metrics, along with any respective action plans.
• Ensure ERP data accuracy.
• Staff Development and Management
• Motivate and coach employees (planning staff) to reach their goals while improving performance
• Ensure that all team members are properly trained
• Set clear goals and deadlines for the department
• Measure and review success using key performance indicators
