PO&G Resources is a rapidly growing, twenty-five-year-old private oil and gas company located in the Galleria/Uptown area of Houston, TX.
We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to be responsible for day to day administrative functions including greeting visitors to our office.
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as competency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. Prior oil and gas experience is also helpful.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks including data entry, copying, faxing, filing, label creation and various mailings.
- All aspects of mail, sorting, tracking, distributing and preparing mail/packages.
- Coordinating document storage submittals and retrievals.
- Assist with onboarding new vendors by sending out and tracking new vendor packets which include Master Service Agreements, COI’s, and W-9’s.
- Assist Human Resources in Onboarding new employees including desk office supply setup, business card ordering, phone/voicemail setup, and building access system setup.
- Manage planning, coordination, and organization of staff functions
- Monitor vendor COI’s and send out new request once they expire.
- Tracking and Ordering office supplies.
- Manage refreshing of office plant stock and ongoing care
- Stock and maintain breakroom/kitchen.
- Preparing and organizing meeting rooms and shared spaces.
- Assisting colleagues with administrative tasks.
- Answering, forwarding, and screening phone calls in a professional manner.
- Greeting and announcing visitors as necessary.
- Coordinate travel as required.
- Other duties as assigned, in line with overall position.
Requirements:
- Associate’s or bachelor's degree required.
- Prior experience in an office administration function or role is required.
- Consistent, professional dress and manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Good time management skills.
- Experience with administrative and clerical procedures.
- Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
- Must be eligible to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
