The Pocono Mountains Association of REALTORS® is currently searching for a part-time bookkeeper, knowledgeable in QuickBooks, to work in our Stroudsburg location. Successful candidates will have excellent customer service skills and must be outcome- oriented. The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy and strong attention to detail is essential. The job will entail a flexible schedule with varying hours on an as needed basis. Primary Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service skills, over the phone, via email and in person, with our members and students.
- Requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, organizational skills, both analytical and problem solving, time management skills and the ability to work with confidential documents.
- Must be computer savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks. Previous QuickBooks experience is required. (Other accounting software experience may be considered depending on experience.)
- Knowledge and implementation of GAAP
- Responsible for the day to day bookkeeping, including but not limited to, customer account management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation of bank accounts, bank deposits, and reporting.
- Assist in activities and meetings of the Finance Committee and provide support including preparation of financial reports as requested by the Treasurer and presents financial reports at Finance Committee meetings. May be asked to take & distribute minutes and maintain action item list.
- Also performs general clerical duties relating to the bookkeeping, to include but not limited to: data entry, file set-up and maintenance, photocopying, faxing and mail distribution.
- Cross-train on one other staff position to help in the event of absence of that employee.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years of hands on bookkeeping experience is required
- Knowledge of operating standard office equipment
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and GAAP
- Real Estate experience helpful but not required
