About our Assistant Audio Editor:
The Assistant Audio Editor is a newly created, hands-on position that offers a unique opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in audio post-production. This role is an exciting blend of editor, engineer, and data wrangler and is ideal for someone with a strong desire to learn, grow, and contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll work closely with the Director of Audio and the broader editing team to ensure our audio quality consistently meets the high standards expected by millions of listeners around the world.
What You’ll Do:
Edit short-form audio deliverables including weekly ads, promotional pieces, and video mixes
Assist with in-office recording sessions and help maintain studio spaces and equipment
Organize, manage, and archive large libraries of sound effects, music tracks, and edit sessions
Quality control all incoming and outgoing audio/video assets for file integrity
Support video shoots and field recording sessions as needed
What You Will Bring to the Table:
Basic working experience in a DAW (digital audio workstation)
General understanding of microphones, signal flow, and audio production best practices
Ability to shift priorities quickly and multitask in a deadline-driven environment
Bonus if you have:
Experience with Pro Tools and iZotope RX
Strong macOS skills
Knowledge of post-production workflows and audio file types
A degree, certificate, or formal training in audio production
A desire to grow into a full Editor role
