About the Senior Motion Designer Role
As a Senior Motion Designer, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Designer and Marketing team to create captivating motion graphic projects and videos that promote Audiochuck and its collective brands. Your work will support weekly, seasonal, and new brand launches, while upholding our visual standards of excellence. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to both marketing initiatives and production needs, combining storytelling and motion design expertise to make a meaningful impact.
What You’ll Do
This role requires a strong understanding of both video editing and motion graphics to create world-class visuals.
Work on projects promoting Audiochuck and its sub-brands, heavily supporting the #1 show, Crime Junkie. This includes work for weekly, seasonal, and new shows.
As part of the Marketing team, you will develop captivating videos for various digital platforms, with a primary focus on creating commercials for paid ads (Meta, Hulu). Other platforms include: YouTube, social media, the Crime Junkie Fan Club app, presentations, web, and more.
Storyboard and translate creative briefs into high-quality deliverables that meet project objectives, with a keen ability to interpret a script or vision into a visually engaging sequence.
Elevate the viewer experience: transform raw video content into polished visual storytelling for videos 90 seconds or less.
Create compelling narratives with a strong understanding of key principles in visual storytelling such as: composition, framing, kinetic typography, pacing, rhythm, and special effects.
Work on an array of creative motion projects like giphy stickers and social videos to animated billboards and video pitches or sizzle reels.
Maintain a high level of quality, visual consistency, and vibrant brand representation across all projects.
Show proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and supporting programs like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop. (Cinema 4D or Blender is a plus, but not required.)
Optimize videos for various screen sizes and resolutions.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and explore innovative techniques in motion design.
Provide supporting video assets to the Production Department as needed.
Organize and maintain files within the company’s storage structure.
What You Will Bring to the Table
A degree in design, art, animation, or a related field is preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in video editing and motion design, ideally in an agency or in-house setting.
A portfolio showcasing your work is required to be considered for this position.
Expertise in tools like Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
Knowledge of export settings for paid ads on platforms like Hulu and Meta.
Proven ability to storyboard and translate creative briefs into compelling visuals.
Experience creating video commercials and sizzle reels.
Exceptional visual storytelling skills with an attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
