Position Summary
PODER Secondary is a small-school environment where teachers track individual students and tailor instruction accordingly. There is a heavy focus on classroom management where behavior disruptions are minimized. Seeking creative minds who enjoy teaching. This position runs the online elective classes for 7th and 8th grade students.
Qualifications
- BA or BS degree in any secondary education.
- Able to pass a background check
- Experience working with 7th and 8th grade and/or experience working with diverse students is a plus (not required)
- Multiple Certifications/Endorsements is a plus (not required)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus (not required)
Responsibilities
- Develop lesson plans and deliver instruction
- Provide small group and individual instruction
- Provide weekly lesson plans to the Principal
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative instruction techniques
