Job Description
As a Part-Time CDL Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up containers from customer locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver and pick up containers from customer locations using a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism.
- Perform daily inspections of the commercial vehicle and lift to ensure safety standards are met.
- Accept additional deliveries as needed to meet business requirements.
- Utilize company-provided handheld computers for delivery verification and navigation purposes.
- Operate a forklift or overhead crane as necessary.
- Clean and inspect containers before delivering them to customers.
- Coordinate rental agreements and payments with customers.
- Communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer inquiries and issues.
- Perform repairs to containers and lifts in the field or at the storage center.
- Assist with storage center operations when needed.
- Maintain a clean truck cab free from debris.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CDL Class B License Required without air brake restriction.
- Must maintain a current/valid driver license.
- Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.
- Must be at least 21 years of age (insurance requirement).
- Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain a minimum of a 1 year certification (DOT requirement).
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software preferred.
- Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties.
