The Bid Coordinator will work closely with vendors, negotiate pricing, and manage project budgets from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the custom cabinet industry, a solid foundation in sales strategy, and exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Assist salespeople in completing pre-bid forms and ensure all necessary documentation is gathered for the bidding process.
Communicate effectively with vendors to request quotes, negotiate pricing, and address any product or pricing inquiries.
Examine architectural drawings, compare them with job specifications, and ensure all requirements are accounted for in the bid.
Identify potential discrepancies or issues and communicate them with the appropriate teams.
Complete detailed pricing calculations, including material costs, shipping, taxes, overhead, commissions, and other associated fees.
Ensure that all calculations are accurate and in line with company profit margin goals.
Request and gather quotes from multiple vendors to ensure competitive pricing.
Negotiate pricing terms with vendors to ensure the best value for the company and the client.
Set and manage project budgets throughout the lifecycle of the project, ensuring costs remain within the allocated budget.
Track expenses and report any deviations to ensure the project stays on track.
Fill out and complete proposals, scope of work documents, and other related paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail.
Ensure all required documents are submitted in a timely manner.
