Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and overall eye health.
Diagnose and treat a variety of vision conditions, such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
Perform advanced diagnostic testing, including retinal imaging, visual field testing, and intraocular pressure measurements.
Prescribe and dispense eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids as needed.
Provide expert guidance on proper eye care practices, including the importance of regular eye exams, protective eyewear, and healthy lifestyle habits.
Collaborate with other members of the eye care team, including ophthalmologists, opticians, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Stay abreast of the latest developments and advancements in the field of optometry through continuing education and professional development activities.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory standards and practice protocols.
Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and staff members.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid state license to practice optometry.
Board certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Optometry.
Demonstrated clinical proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and diagnosing vision conditions.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
