Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
Reports to: Principal
Salary: $42,928-$55,539

Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing educational guidance and assistance for students. This role works closely with students, Principals and teaching staff, and provides case management referrals and further resource assistance for students in order to help them recognize and achieve their educational goals by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties
Works with School Principals and provides key leadership and support to all school staff, students, and families.
Meets with students who need support and assistance in managing their academic program, school, and home life.
Manages, updates, and interprets student transcripts, personal education plan, and school schedule.
Job Duties
Works in the Student Management System to review, update and manage all student information.
Serves as a point of contact for all those involved with POIC RAHS students.
Works with the School Principal, teachers, and school staff to create the master class schedule used for the school year at their campus.
Assists with de-escalation and conflict resolution of students and families.
Reviews student progress reports and report cards, updates student transcripts based on Report Card progress, and works with teachers and school staff to ensure students and their families receive timely information about academic progress.
Conducts orientations with new students.
Serves as a key contact for school district partners and staff.
Tracks the progress of students toward completion of required Work Sample certification of Master of Essential Skills in English Language Arts and Mathematics.
Tracks student academic progress toward graduation (with a heavy emphasis on seniors), ensures that graduation requirements are met.
Responsible for tracking senior credit attainment and graduation planning.
Connects students with scholarship opportunities and supports students with scholarship applications.
Assigns students to appropriate academic classes based on student needs and interests, reviews of student transcripts and current school progress.
Inputs “out of district” transcripts for new students.
Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Respectfully takes direction from manager.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent significant professional experience, and three to five years’ experience in educational settings. Familiarity with trauma-informed practice and strength-based approaches to working with clients preferred. Master’s Degree in School Counseling preferred.
