Prosthetic Device Assembly Technician

PROSTHETIC DEVICE ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN:

Point Designs is a Colorado based company that manufactures high-strength prosthetic fingers for people with partial hand amputation. We are passionate about what we do and looking to add another member to our dynamic team. We are in need of an Assembly Technician that can reliably assemble products and fulfill orders with attention to detail, quality control, and perfection. Ability to follow instructions precisely, and to QC both your own work and the work of others.

The role includes part inspection, mechanical assembly, assembly inspection, product break-in cycling, order fulfillment, product servicing, and product development support.

Job Type: Full-time [40 hrs/wk]

• This is NOT a remote work position. The Prosthetic Device Assembly Technician is required to work on-site.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation and assembly of heavy-duty prosthetic finger products with precision, following work instructions and specifications.
• Has knowledge of and ability to use common hand tools for assembly components per verbal, written, and drawing requirements.
• Operate production equipment proficiently.
• Conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure accuracy and product excellence.
• Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand.
• Safely pack and ship orders using appropriate materials.
• Provide customer service support on inbound orders or returns/exchanges
• Maintain inventory accuracy and workspace organization.
• Prioritize safety, cleanliness, and adhere to established protocols.
• Has good attention to detail
• Collaborate with the fabrication facility to meet shipping deadlines.
• Assist with R&D initiatives as required.
• Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to get along with people and be able to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.

WORK HOURS AND LOCATION:

• Able to work during day-shift hours; hours of 8am-5pm
• This position is required to work at our office in Lafayette, CO

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous assembly and order fulfillment experience is preferred but not required; we are open to training dedicated candidates.
• Must have the ability to read, understand and follow work instructions, written procedures, blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents.
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
• Adaptable to manufacturing process changes
• Basic knowledge working with computers and handheld electronics
• Self-starter that can work individually
