POSITION: Maintenance Technician
LOCATION: 1 Wapato Point Pkwy
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager
Job Overview: The Maintenance Technician is a vital team member responsible for ensuring the optimal condition and appearance of building exteriors, property grounds, and all furniture, fixtures, and equipment. This role is essential for maintaining and enhancing both the interiors and exteriors of our property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and both scheduled and emergency repairs across the property.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with both guests and team members.
- Submit, track, and follow up on work orders—reporting and documenting maintenance issues and obvious property concerns.
- Support in general installations and upkeep projects as needed.
Technical Skills & Specific Tasks:
- Electrical: Diagnose and repair issues involving wiring, outlets, lighting, and basic circuits.
- Plumbing: Maintain and repair pipes, fixtures, and water systems.
- HVAC: Perform routine checks and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Carpentry: Repair walls, doors, flooring, and other structural elements.
- Pest Control: Identify and resolve pest-related issues.
- Landscaping: Maintain property grounds, walkways, and outdoor aesthetics.
- Inventory Management: Track tools, parts, and supplies to ensure nothing is missing when it’s needed most.
- Safety First: Always follow safety protocols and comply with relevant regulations.
Pool Maintenance (Preferred):
- Test and adjust pool water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, etc.).
- Maintain pool equipment (pumps, filters, heaters).
- Keep pool and deck areas clean and inviting.
Miscellaneous:
- Ability to self-manage, prioritize tasks, and respond quickly to changing needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills—you’ll be interacting with guests, owners, and team members regularly.
- Must have a mobile device capable of downloading and running the SLACK app, and be able to use it effectively.
- A team player who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, secondary education, or technical training certification.
- Previous experience in a similar property, hotel, resort, or other similarly sized complexity is preferred.
- Fluent in English for vendor engagements and communication with guests.
