Job Summary :
The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy is seeking candidates for an adjunct teaching position in occupational therapy. The University is seeking an individual capable of excellent teaching.
Responsibilities begin in January 2025 and will offer a unique opportunity for experienced occupational therapy practitioners to mentor and guide OT students during their fieldwork experiences. The adjunct faculty member will oversee the clinical education process, providing supervision, feedback, and support to help students apply theoretical knowledge to practical, client-centered care in community sites. Responsibilities include monitoring student progress, facilitating reflective learning, conducting evaluations, ensuring alignment with academic and professional standards and communicating with the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator to provide student updates. This position requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills to foster professional growth and ensure a successful transition from classroom
to clinical practice.
Salary :
PLNU adjunct pay : Using a 3-unit full semester appointment as a pay guide, the adjunct pay range is $4,860 - $6,480. The units will determine the actual salary.

- Successful candidates will work strategically with diverse colleagues, students, and commmunity members by providing direct supervision to OT students in the community.
- Advise students academically, spiritually, and socially.
- Participate in departmental activities as requested by the Program Director.

The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Please realize that there may not presently be an adjunct position available. When an opening becomes available for which you would be a good match, the department chair will be in contact with you for further dialogue, interviews, etc.
Approved applicants will remain in the adjunct pool for the upcoming school year only. To be reconsidered for the following school year, applicants will need to reapply. If hired, official transcripts will be required from all undergraduate and graduate universities attended before a contract is issued.
