Here at Point of The Pines Gardens Assisted Living Facility, we pride ourselves on person-centered care. We are advocates in providing a stable long-term living environment for Medicaid clients. With such a diverse client base, we are looking to bring on an adaptable and self-motivated individual who will aid us in our main office.
Our ideal candidate will be level-headed, eager to engage with and get to know our residents and have knowledge and understanding of mental illnesses and how they can affect residents in their daily lives.
What you bring to the table:
· Previous experience in the assisted living field (Preferred)
· Excellent communication skills
· A positive attitude
· Phone skills; Transferring calls, placing calls on hold, taking messages as needed, and effectively communicate with Administrator and other staff with time sensitive calls/messages
· Must be a team player
· Computer skills; familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel, email, etc...
· The ability to stay calm and collected under stress
· Comfortable using office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, etc…
· Great organization skills
· Strong sense of accountability
· Ability to multitask
· Conduct employee file audits when needed
· Conduct rent audits when needed
· Ability to account for rental payments and process in QuickBooks
· Ability to follow up & use proper documentation on our EHR
· Be able to properly send documents in a timely manner which includes documents asked for by Administrator and Care Coordination Manager
What to expect:
The assistant business office manager is expected to be able to assist residents in scheduling anything from appointments to arranging transportation, conducting phone meetings with the Department of Social Services, helping with residents banks issues, overseeing and ordering supply inventories, communicating with Care Coordination Manager regarding resident appointments and their needs in care, and communicating with Administrator for daily updates, etc. Every day is different, so versatility is a must. As these challenges present themselves, you’ll use your best judgment to make beneficial decisions for each situation. Daily interaction and communication with the management team, staff and residents is a given. Our ideal candidate will exercise compassion with our residents, making them feel at home and taken care of. You’ll lead staff by example with your positive and understanding attitude, as well as your strong work ethic and ability complete tasks as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
