Point One Design Ltd. Is an Ohio based mechanical and electrical consulting engineering firm with offices in North Royalton and Columbus established in 1993.
We are seeking a full-time electrical engineer or electrical designer to support the growth and expansion of our business. At Point One Design you’ll gain hands-on experience working on a diverse portfolio of projects across a wide range of sectors and clientele, including commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial. The position would start as an "electrical engineer/designer" with growth potential.
What You’ll Do:
- Electrical design for a wide scope of project types.
- Apply design knowledge in power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment specifications and selections.
- Preparation of schematics for various systems.
- Collaboration with all disciplines to achieve completed coordinated design and reviewing the work of others.
- Performance of on-site investigation to confirm existing conditions.
- Developing familiarity with current electrical codes and standards.
- Forming relationships with equal level personnel of other disciplines (architectural, electrical, structural civil, etc.) and manufacturing sales representatives.
- Becoming familiar with and preparing general and electrical specifications.
What You’ll Bring:
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
- Familiarity with system specific materials, components, and systems.
- Basic knowledge of high mathematics relative to the work.
- Oral and written communications skills.
- Analytical ability to solve complex problems.
- Working ability/knowledge of AutoCad.
- Working ability/knowledge of REVIT is not required, but desired.
