Physical Therapist
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our dynamic Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation team in Bethesda, MD. Our practice includes a lead Physiatrist and is supported by Physical Therapists and other essential staff members. This role offers an opportunity to thrive in a collaborative, outcome-focused, and evidence-based environment. At Point Performance, we prioritize personalized, one-on-one care, believing it is essential to spend quality time with each patient to achieve the best possible outcomes. Our unique model allows you to treat 1-2 patients per hour, ensuring focused, high-quality interactions that foster optimal healing and performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess and diagnose patient symptoms and limitations.
- Instruct, motivate, and assist patients during exercises and functional activities.
- Document treatments, stretches, exercises, and equipment used during sessions.
- Observe patients throughout treatments to monitor their progress and evaluate their responses.
- Collaborate with physical therapy staff and other professionals to discuss and refine patient care plans.
- Develop individualized home exercise programs and promote patient adherence.
- Ensure that clinical documentation complies with industry and insurance standards.
- Adjust interventions as necessary to meet treatment goals and desired outcomes.
- Create and implement effective discharge plans.
- Support front office staff in explaining patient benefits, including copay, coinsurance, deductibles, and out-of-pocket responsibilities.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient or evolving manual therapy techniques.
- Advanced certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with insurance documentation requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to show compassion and clarity when interacting with patients.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Strong desire for professional and personal growth.
- Highly reliable, flexible, energetic, and motivated, with the ability to multitask efficiently and accurately.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records and comfortable with computer systems.
- Current CPR certification.
