We're hiring Drivers in the Depot Park and surrounding areas within the Sacramento, CA region! *20-30 mile range*

**Placement & Retention Bonus**

You will be eligible to receive both a placement and retention bonus in the total gross amount of $600.00, provided that you remain actively employed with the Company and are not on a Performance Improvement Plan at the time these bonuses are to be paid. The placement bonus ($500.00) will be included in your paycheck within the first month after you are placed at a school site, and the retention bonus ($100.00) will be included in your last paycheck of the school year.

Driver Responsibilities:

• Shift Hours: This position requires the flexibility of working a split shift. 1st Shift = 4:30AM/ 5:30AM
  • - 9:00AM
  2nd Shift = 1:30PM
  • - 5PM
• Safe Vehicle Operation: Adhere to all driving laws and techniques to minimize risks, ensuring safe operation of vehicles at all times.
• Student Supervision: Monitor students during transportation, maintaining safety and security.
• Record Keeping: Complete daily logs such as van attendance, 1:1 logs, behavioral logs, and fuel purchases.
• Safety Procedures: Follow protocols for loading, unloading, and securing all passengers, including the four-point securement of wheelchairs and scooters when necessary.
• Errands & Transport: Run program errands, including package deliveries, late runs, and transporting students to workability events and other appointments as needed.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and on-board equipment functionality and cleanliness; report any issues requiring maintenance or repair.

Driver Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; a two-year degree or equivalent combination of training and experience is preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience working in a school or treatment setting with students facing learning, social, or emotional challenges.
• Licenses/Records Record: Valid driver's license required and clean DMV record.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and use a map/ GPS.
• Clearances: DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance required.
• Other: Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Demands:

• Environment: Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.
• Activity: Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items.
• Sensory: Ability to perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices or accommodations, including working in moderate to high noise levels.
