Job description: Foundations was founded by a Speech Language Pathologist and is an experienced resource, utilized by Arizona school districts, making available highly trained, qualified, vetted, and certified therapy providers. Employing evidence-based practices, our providers meet the student’s needs, as well as assist districts to maintain compliance with requirements. We aspire to obtain dedicated and energetic Speech Language Pathologists so that we can continue to help all students grow and learn in the educational setting. Speech Language Pathologist CCC's required
Essential Job Functions
Assesses students' speech language development skills (e.g. receptive/expressive language skills, speech production skills, social language skills development, etc.) and interprets results for the purpose of determining their need for special education services.
Develops speech-language therapy programs and provides direct therapy to students in accordance with their individualized plans.
Provides consultation to classroom teachers, administrators, and parents.
Reviews and maintains speech-language files and related paperwork to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
Prepares a wide variety of written materials (e.g. evaluation reports, individualized treatment plans, student data, billing records, and progress reports) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information to others.
Presents information about students and/or programs to a variety of audiences including families, colleagues, and outside agencies.
Researches resources and methods (e.g. intervention and treatment techniques, assessment tools and methods, community resources, etc.) for the purpose of determining the appropriate approach for addressing students' goals.
Requirements:
· Education: Master’s degree
· Hold a valid SLP/ SLT license in the state of Arizona
· Hold a valid Department of Education SLP/SLT license in the state of Arizona
· Hold a current AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
· Hold current CPR certification
· Maintain Continuing Education requirements, as per AZDHS (http://azdhs.gov/licensing/special/index.php#speech-hearing-continuing-education)
