Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled engineer with experience in Ansible and infrastructure automation to join our team in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have a background in networking and / or systems engineering and a strong understanding of platform-specific playbook development within a well-established IaC architecture. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting and enhancing our automated infrastructure by developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks tailored to specific platforms. You will work closely with a team of engineers in a classified lab environment (NIWC PAC Seaside Lab) for 80% of your time, ensuring the seamless deployment and management of infrastructure-as-code solutions. Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Ansible playbooks to support platform-specific automation.
- Collaborate with networking and systems engineering teams to enhance existing IaC frameworks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues within an automated deployment environment.
- Ensure adherence to security protocols and compliance standards within a classified lab setting.
- Support ongoing infrastructure modernization efforts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Requirements :
- Experience with Ansible and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) methodologies.
- Strong background in networking and / or systems engineering.
- Familiarity with automation best practices and DevOps principles.
- Active Secret Clearance is required.
- Must be a San Diego resident or willing to relocate.
- Ability to work 80% on-site in a classified lab environment (NIWC PAC Seaside Lab). Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working in DoD or classified environments.
- Knowledge of other automation tools (Terraform, Puppet, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud or hybrid infrastructure automation.
