THE OPPORTUNITY

Pointe Health is looking for Senior Managers/Directors to support our Pointe Health practice and the firm's rapid growth. You will also have direct client access, responsibility, and impact; you will be looked to for new ideas to drive growth and value in Pointe Health. Pointe operates in a highly flexible hybrid office model. This is a full-time salaried position located at our Arlington, Virginia office. Pointe offers industry leading compensation, robust benefits, and schedule flexibility.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Senior Manager or Director, you will lead teams driving high client value and be integral to Pointe’s success as a firm. You will sit at the fulcrum of our Great People, Great Clients, and Great Work Mantra! You will be responsible for developing our more junior Great People on projects and empowering the leadership team's account strategies. You will also be key in structuring and delivering Great Work to our exclusive list of Great Clients. And last (but not least), you will be looked to as a thought partner to develop the strategies that empower our Great Clients’ vision. More specifically, your responsibilities will be to:

• Manage strategic research engagements for Pointe Health clients, directing Pointe research and analysis operations in support of defined client research objectives
• Conduct and lead primary research, i.e., engaging in conversations, in-depth interviews, and surveys with subject matter experts, industry consultants, and others to provide original and unbiased insights
• Drive the secondary research and analysis of breaking press releases, news, publications, and industry events to support original insight into market dynamics and strategic decisions
• Analyze the results of secondary and primary insights using structured techniques to draw out executive-level take-aways, identify implications, and provide context and expert opinion
• Lead the development of global pharmaceutical/biotech KOL network to conduct original research
• Own Pointe Health project processes from start-to-finish, owning the client delivery, and ensuring output meets Pointe’s standards for quality of insight and client impact
  
• Oversee the development of best-in-class materials that exceed client expectations (in terms of research depth, analytical rigor, and visualization)
  
• Scope client engagements, define research objectives, generate hypotheses, and prepare storyboards to guide Pointe Health research and analysis
• Support business development efforts and new client capture
• Develop and own relationships with key client maps and add measurable value to client relationships
• Provide thoughtful, structured approaches to deck development and slide design
• Partner with clients on engagements by cultivating a collaborative environment and providing high-touch service
• Develop mastery of Pointe’s research, analytical approaches, and pharmaceutical/life science expertise in key client therapeutic areas

• Coach and nurture junior staff and provide team members with developmental and fulfilling opportunities on projects
• Execute on personal key performance metrics related to account and project management targets, produced revenue goals, and coaching and team development
• Act as a role model for junior staff by embodying Pointe’s values
• Travel domestically and/or internationally to support coverage of global industry conferences

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s degree required with a clear track record of academic excellence
• Master’s degree and/or PhD in biomedical or life sciences, biomedical engineering, business, or other relevant degree preferred
• Six to ten years of relevant work experience in a consulting, research, or insights role, or comparable experience in a professional services firm, with a focus on life sciences/pharmaceuticals and healthcare
• In-depth knowledge of drug development and commercialization lifecycle
• A strong aptitude for networking, executive interviewing, and secondary research
• Demonstrated project management skills and experience including scheduling, team management, adherence to project timelines, resource utilization, and quality control
• Demonstrated briefing and presentation skills
• Experience leading teams and developing junior team members to help them achieve their career goals
• Intellectual curiosity with an ability to understand key industry business issues and trends along with a passion for learning new subject matter
• Excellent technical and business writing skills with accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills
• Time management and multitasking abilities to succeed in a fast-paced workflow, deadline-driven environment
• Advanced skill set in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
• Foreign language capabilities are a plus
