POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Manager will work with Pointsmith’s Exhibits Environments department and will report to the Director of Operations. The position requires the person to be liaison between department associates and a primary client team: Exhibit Designers, Creative Services Team, and Account Services/New Business Development teams to project manage each job from inception to completion. The Project Manager will keep department activity organized and project communication on-time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review project scope and provide expertise to client.
- Facilitate the review and quotes for design packages with estimating teams.
- Kick-off project to internal team and external teams.
- Direct project through internal channels from Art/Graphics, Fabrication, Services and Logistics.
- Facilitate the creation of orders for layouts (electrical/rigging).
- Ordering show services.
- Create a show book (details of the project).
- Collaborate with the Project Accountant to create invoices for projects.
- Post-show analysis creation.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the tradeshow industry and/or project management.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience project management.
- Demonstrated skill in managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across the organization
- Strong project management, analytical skills and budget management experience
- Demonstrated strong relationship building with customers and business partners
- Exhibit management/exhibit installation experience preferred
- Be able to travel for client relationships and/or projects.
- Overnight travel required up to 30%
- Be accessible on non-work hours to discuss and work on projects as needed
- Resourceful, agile, and composed in high pressure situations
- Strong team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities.
- Thrives in fast-paced, customer-focused environments.
- Motivated and available to work extended hours as needed.
