Summary:
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately unloading, verifying, and documenting incoming shipments. This role ensures that received items match purchase orders and notifies appropriate team members of arrivals. The Receiving Clerk supports the overall warehouse operations and maintains a clean and safe work area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Unload trucks promptly upon arrival.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Notify internal stakeholders when their orders have arrived.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Follow and support all Pointsmith safety guidelines.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Inventory Receiving Supervisor.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2–3 years of experience in a receiving or warehouse role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (2010 or newer).
- Experience operating a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of receiving workflow and inventory processes.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week and weekends as necessary.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
