The successful candidate will be responsible for covering key events, building and managing a network of photographers worldwide, and ensuring PokerOrg’s imagery stands out across our website, social channels, newsletters, and other digital properties.

This position is perfect for a highly skilled tournament photographer who also has experience managing media operations, photo teams, and content strategies at scale.

Location & Travel

Remote work is OK for the right candidate, but extensive travel is required for global tournament coverage.

Key Responsibilities

Photography & Content Strategy

• Serve as PokerOrg’s lead tournament photographer, covering major live poker events worldwide.

• Develop and execute a visual storytelling strategy that enhances PokerOrg’s content across web, social media, and newsletters.

Global Photographer Management & Operations

Build and manage a network of freelance photographers in key markets (North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America) to cover events and special assignments.

• Establish best practices, shot lists, and style guides for PokerOrg photographers to maintain quality and consistency.

• Oversee photo workflows, including editing, post-processing, and distribution of images for live event coverage.

• Manage photography budgets and contracts, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high-quality output.

• Develop a centralized photo archive for PokerOrg’s imagery, making it easy to retrieve and repurpose visual assets.

Live Event & Tournament Coverage

Lead PokerOrg’s on-the-ground photography efforts at major poker events, including the World Series of Poker (WSOP), European Poker Tour (EPT), Asian Poker Tour (APT), and other high-profile tournaments.

• Capture poker action, player portraits, lifestyle moments, and behind-the-scenes storytelling shots that resonate with our audience.

• Deliver real-time photo content for PokerOrg’s social media team during key events.

Who You Are

• A seasoned poker photographer with deep experience in live poker tournament photography.

• An experienced visual content strategist, with expertise in how photography shapes brand perception and engagement.

• A strong leader and project manager, capable of coordinating global photography efforts efficiently.

• Someone who understands the poker world, the players, and the industry, ensuring PokerOrg’s photography is authentic and engaging.

• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments.

Requirements

5 years of experience in live poker or sports photography.

• Proven ability to lead a photography team and manage global visual content operations.

Deep knowledge of poker culture and tournament dynamics is a must.

• Advanced skills in photo editing software (Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.).

Willingness to travel extensively to poker events worldwide.

• Fluent in English (additional languages a plus).

Based in Las Vegas preferred, but not required.
