The Role
This is a dual-role position: a hands-on lead photographer and a global manager of PokerOrg’s visual storytelling strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering key events, building and managing a network of photographers worldwide, and ensuring PokerOrg’s imagery stands out across our website, social channels, newsletters, and other digital properties.
This position is perfect for a highly skilled tournament photographer who also has experience managing media operations, photo teams, and content strategies at scale.
Location & Travel
• The ideal candidate will be based in Las Vegas, the heart of the poker world.
• Remote work is OK for the right candidate, but extensive travel is required for global tournament coverage.
Key Responsibilities
Photography & Content Strategy
• Serve as PokerOrg’s lead tournament photographer, covering major live poker events worldwide.
• Develop and execute a visual storytelling strategy that enhances PokerOrg’s content across web, social media, and newsletters.
• Define PokerOrg’s photo aesthetic and how it impacts our brand identity, ensuring consistency across all visual assets.
• Work closely with PokerOrg’s content, social media, and editorial teams to integrate high-impact photography into our storytelling efforts.
Global Photographer Management & Operations
• Build and manage a network of freelance photographers in key markets (North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America) to cover events and special assignments.
• Establish best practices, shot lists, and style guides for PokerOrg photographers to maintain quality and consistency.
• Oversee photo workflows, including editing, post-processing, and distribution of images for live event coverage.
• Manage photography budgets and contracts, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high-quality output.
• Develop a centralized photo archive for PokerOrg’s imagery, making it easy to retrieve and repurpose visual assets.
Live Event & Tournament Coverage
• Lead PokerOrg’s on-the-ground photography efforts at major poker events, including the World Series of Poker (WSOP), European Poker Tour (EPT), Asian Poker Tour (APT), and other high-profile tournaments.
• Capture poker action, player portraits, lifestyle moments, and behind-the-scenes storytelling shots that resonate with our audience.
• Deliver real-time photo content for PokerOrg’s social media team during key events.

• A seasoned poker photographer with deep experience in live poker tournament photography.
• An experienced visual content strategist, with expertise in how photography shapes brand perception and engagement.
• A strong leader and project manager, capable of coordinating global photography efforts efficiently.
• Someone who understands the poker world, the players, and the industry, ensuring PokerOrg’s photography is authentic and engaging.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
Requirements
• 5 years of experience in live poker or sports photography.
• Proven ability to lead a photography team and manage global visual content operations.
• Deep knowledge of poker culture and tournament dynamics is a must.
• Advanced skills in photo editing software (Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.).
• Experience with digital content publishing, including image optimization for web and social.
• Willingness to travel extensively to poker events worldwide.
• Fluent in English (additional languages a plus).
• Based in Las Vegas preferred, but not required.
